Background :

-  During our lifetimes, we sleep tens of thousands of times beneath the star-filled sky, but how can one ever tire of it ?

Zoraya is the perfect diplomat, at ease in the presence of power regardless of the surroundings, be it the most pompous court of the East, or in a bare-walled drinking hall in Asgard.  She speaks a dozen languages, but what most pleases the most recalcitrant of sovereigns, is that she is a true master of falconry.

There are few places in the world that Zoraya has never seen.  Blessed with phenomenal memory, she never forgets a face, a name or a story, despite the thousands of people she has come across in her travels.  Knowing how to make people talk, being genuinely interested in them but at the same time able to memorise literally every word that spills from their lips, is of course a great boon in her line of work.

It has also helped her to remain in favour, no matter which faction rises or falls at the court of the Grand Sultan.

Zoraya is also naturally suited to what the Turanians call "Hooded Diplomacy", that is, spying.  Arriving in any kingdom of Hyboria, she can quickly learn all that is worth learning from an astonishingly large network of informants, avid for Turanian coin, but also, in many cases, for her attention.

Campaign History :

Sent over the Vilayets Sea by the vizir, to investigate rumours of secession plotted by some northern lords and find out to whom they had sworn allegiance, Zoraya landed in Yaralet, where she fairly quickly identified three obvious conspirators.  In order to quickly acquire a solid reputation, necessary for building trust and contacts, the young woman took part in an unusual hunting contest, a local custom involving chasing down a giant bear released into the very streets.

 

Her right hand man, a Nemedian thief named Brude,  proved his worth before the event by eavesdropping on the conspirators.  One of them was present during the hunt, intent on slaying Zoraya.  Fortunately, Brude recognised him, and when he attacked Zoraya was ready, duelling with him in the middle of the crowds before killing him and making her fighting skills obvious.  The man being incidentally little liked, this further increased her reputation, which was now only equalled by her other companion, the pirate known as the "Queen of Four", Sathach.

 

In Yaralet, Zoraya met with Chimène.  The meeting of the two women allowed both to understand the larger picture.   Whilst attempting to save the Hyperborean's future victim, they met dark forces on a now abandoned estate.
