Dragon

There are creatures, not only of the Earth and the Sea, but also of the Air and the far reaches of the sky, who dwell apart, unguessed at by Man.  Only those who have the knowledge that underlies all can summon them, by long, weird calls that echo out into space.

Dragons are among them, huge creatures with forty-foot wingspans, with ridged back and arched neck, a shape such as men know only in half-forgotten legends, arriving in a deafening thunder of wings.
