Snake worship is most often associated with the cult of Set.  It is practised not only in the black heart of Stygia, but exported by its charismatic priestesses to neighbouring realms.  It has proven particularly popular in Koth, as well as in Shem, and Kush to the south.

Other cults worship snakes, however, as symbols of healing, of eternal life and as guardians against demons.  Although marginal, they can be found in Ophir, Khauran and Khoraja, and in the central part of Turan.
