Set

If Stygia is the centre of the worship of Set the Old Serpent, his cult, appealing to the dark side of the human spirit, has spread throughout the central realms (most notably in Koth and Shem), as well as to the South (Kush, and to a lesser extent the other Black Kingdoms).

Set is a reminder of the ancient peoples of pre-human times, deified by the new arrivals.  In the Hyborian kingdoms, in particular those where Mitra is strong, Set is feared as the most abhorrent and foul of demons, the arch-devil himself.

The gruesome rituals of Set worship, carried out in temple, tomb and pyramid, include live human sacrifice and obscene sorcery.
