Border Kingdom

The Border Kingdom is less of a Kingdom than a stretch of land.  It serves as a buffer state between Nemedia and Brythunia and the more savage people of the north, and was the last Hyborian nation to be founded. It has no king, and locally born nobles, or powerful barons from other Hybori kingdoms, claim sway over stretches of land of varying dimensions.  Lawless, the country serves nonetheless as a trade route for merchants trying to avoid the strict taxes of Nemedia. A sad wilderness with deserted, disconsolate marshlands.
